Person Search Tips

So the best part of travelling? Filling up my iPod with all my favorite songs!! Okay, maybe not the best part, but maybe the best part. Right now, I'm on a kick of Cover Songs, so I'm really glad I came across that rant. Funny, funny stuff. Haven't yet found a travel partner to Amsterdam. Weird huh? I know, I thought I was an awesome people finder too!

Um, so please tell me that I'm not the only one grossed out that placenta juice not just for babies? Ew, ew, ew. I'm all about health, but I'm not crazy. I'm excited for my trip to Amsterdam, and I'm trying to find a travel partner to go with me. So I may have to do a background check on them to make sure they aren't axe murderers, you know? I don't have anyone in mind yet, but once I have someone who's down to travel, then background search pronto!

So good news and some not so good news. I'm making plans to head back out to Amsterdam in the fall, but not with any of the people I looked up online. As I said, they sent me pretty below average responses to my letters and I'm still mad about it. Why is it that a traveling girl can never find people to hang out with and have it not be weird? Why? WHY? I don't want to sound like I'm whining too much but come on, is it that difficult to find people who are chill and fun to kick it with? I'll find out when I head back to the 'Dam this fall because I know what to look for now. This really sucks but I sometimes wonder if it's hard for me to make friends because of where I come from. Foreigners sometimes look down on me. After all those 911 ads, I can see their point but it's still horrid. Maybe I should look for a traveling partner to go to Amsterdam with me. That'd be really ace! Something to look into for sure.

So my search for people that I met in Amsterdam wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I did a background check to find each of them, wrote them long excited emails and just got one line responses (if I was lucky!) like, "Oh, hey, I remember you. we love it when people from the past find us." Wow, nice. Who cares? I'm going to drown my sorrows in a weight loss shake.

So you know how I was trying to find a person that we'd met in a hostel in Amsterdam? Well, actually trying to find a whole bunch of them, but I really wanted to find a person who told us the best place to get space cakes, and he was right. They rocked. I kind of thought I might just be able to find him on google, since he said his name was Bradford and he was a big pop star out in LA or something. I should have known better, since I know how to find people, and it turns out his band is pretty small sauce. Whatever, though, he seems nice, and I'm glad I've found him again. I'm also glad I found this funny list of everyday luxuries.
